The closure of the painting story doesn't click with me. The letter from everyone with a name in town is effectively saying goodbye be free we love you wherever you go, when everyone damn well knows there's no way out of the island. But at the same time since artist Nikki isn't anymore the town will be Nikkiless and Momoless forever (no reason to go back there), or even weirder if much later there's another quest and the townsfolk have to believe she's gone missing for months in the tiny habitable land.
