I don't expect any kind of route or real changes to the narrative/ending, but I would genuinely be surprised if there wasn't some kind of small scene acknowledging who the player was pushing Kris towards. Like, something super small like a minute long scene where Kris gets dragged off for some dumb nonsense at the festival. Maybe Susie grabs them and runs off to a booth selling candied apples, only for her to eventually start stacking them on their head until they fall. Or Noelle asks to check out the ferris wheel with them for old time's sake, only for Kris to, inevitably, start rocking the whole thing terrifying her. For Ralsei, Kris wonders how they're doing and slips into the Dark World for a bit where they just have tea. And Berdly challenges them to guess the amount of candies in a jar, only for Kris to miraculously get the answer exactly.

I don't see any real romance being in the game, as much as I may want that to be present. But even the smallest side scene that isn't even brought up again throughout the story would be nice. Just some acknowledgment of how many times the player can push Kris towards on character or another. Knowing Toby though, he could go the complete opposite just to push his narrative even more. Like, maybe he gives the player the choice to outright choose a character Kris will attend the festival with, only for them to rip the soul out right as they get there and thus start up whatever plot-related thing happens next. It'd go towards his whole meta-narrative bit of the player pushing their choices on Kris, how they have their own agenda, and how the player automatically assumes they get to drive the choices despite being told repeatedly they can't.

If there is something though, Susie in a heartbeat. Fucking love Krusie.
