I'm halfway with you, but when you look back on it almost all media in the 90s and 2000s was cynical or comedy. In the 80s it was cheesy action movies and horror films, then when the SImpsons, MTV, and South Park hit the scene it's been non-stop dissent. Almost feels like we're building up to a US styled perestroika.

Both the left and the right used to work for the rich. Now the rich have gone so far that the population who support being normal have united under the new right, which have to fight both the left and the old right.
