i think one of the biggest misunderstandings about goro comes from thinking robin hood is a fake part of him. it comes from futaba saying his personas represent "lies" and "resentment." robin hood and loki respectively.
but it's the way goro presented himself that was fake. the detective prince persona was fake but robin hood and the desire to be a hero/relied on were both real.
and a dev later said goro awoke to robin hood and loki at the same time so robin hood can't actually represent "lies." for that to work robin hood would've had to awaken after he became the second detective prince.

futaba's line in context makes it seem like it's referring to goro's personas but it could just be referring to the masks goro wears for other people rather than his literal personas.
the detective prince mask he wears for the public is a "lie" and the remorseless mask he wears for himself is what he wore out of "resentment" to get close to shido.
goro's remorseless mask is also what he wears when he breaks down in the engine room and morgana senses that he isn't being genuine.
