>Putin ordered to double the number of people responsible for propaganda and “education” in schools

>Vladimir Putin ordered to increase the number of educational advisers in schools and colleges from the current 37 thousand to 60 thousand people. The head of the Rosdettsentr, Alexander Kudryashov, stated this at the forum “State Policy in the Humanitarian Sphere: Education by Victory,” the Agency reports.

>“By the decision of our president, these rates will be introduced in all educational organizations, that is, a professional team of advisers will unite about 60 thousand specialists,”- Kudryashov explained. If the task is completed, then, based on the data of the Ministry of Education, the number of advisers in Russian schools will be twice the number of physics, biology and geography teachers, three times the number of chemistry teachers, and five times the number of art and drawing teachers.

>The head of Rosdettsentr also presented a portrait of the “ideal adviser,” highlighting, first of all, “patriotism” and “ideological and moral competencies.” The increase in the number of advisers comes against the backdrop of a general reduction in teaching staff. According to the Ministry of Education, from 2020 to 2025 the number of teachers in schools decreased by 20 thousand people, and the total shortage of teachers is estimated at 600 thousand specialists.

>At the same time, curricula are changing in Russian schools. In August, the Ministry of Education approved a new concept for teaching social studies: the subject was completely excluded from the curriculum of the sixth and seventh grades, and in the eighth and ninth grades the number of hours was halved. Topics about freedom, morality, conscience, citizens' rights and the foundations of law have been removed from the course.
