What's /biz/'s opinion on the upcoming fed decision? As things currently stand, the market decidedly believes that Powell is going to cut rates. Personally, I think it's possible he leaves them as-is. He could roll out the excuse of "wanting to wait for more accurate jobs data" (aka: being the same child-fucking demon he usually is, such as by doing nothing whenever doing something would be beneficial & vice-versa.) I think it's also possible that he doesn't believe that he should be required to 'bail out' the jobs market by lowering rates while inflation is still ripping.

Of course, we all know that the numbers are fake, that everything is fake, etc... But what makes this decision worth paying attention to is that, no matter what comes down the pipe this time, it is all but guaranteed to have huge ramifications on asset prices one way or the other.
