I know there was something before I was born.
I’m not too concerned about an afterlife. What really wigs me out is trying to understand where the fuck I was before I was born. It’s always creeped me out how I just *thought* one day. My earliest memory was when I was 3, around 2005, but I know there was something before that. I don’t even mean as a baby, I mean I feel like I was something even greater before I found myself in this earth. I would spend like 5 minutes at a time looking in the mirror, unable to recognize my own face. I would think subconsciously like "This is me. This is how I look. This is what people see when they look at me. This is how I look when I smile, and when I frown. Is this really me? Im not used to this.” Of course, I was nowhere near intelligent enough to even come close to articulating or even understand these thoughts but I know they were still there. It just makes me wonder where we come from. What are we before we arrive here? Where do we actually come from? This has always unsettled me way more than the idea of an afterlife.
