I think Guild Wars 2 had a setting like I'm referring to, where during cutscenes or in major outposts your helm would be auto toggled to off but as soon as you loaded into an exploratory zone it would auto toggle back on. Putting you in a state of battle-readiness so to speak, since you're no longer in the relative safety of Divinity's Reach or w/e city you were in.
