I'm going to speculate on what is happening here. Bear with me.

The situation is that the Likud party in Israel does not actually want Iran gone. They need Iran as a permanent threat to keep themselves in power as Israel's controlling party--a position they are in danger of losing the moment peace comes to the Middle East because the retarded communists and shitlibs who make up their opposition parties are only held in line by their kike neurosis and hysterical fear of another shoah.

They also know that there is no nuke, and was never going to be a nuke. The Iranians also know this. If Iran wanted to fuck Israel up they could just use chemical weapons. VX nerve agent in rockets could've been done 20 years ago with less public backlash than a fucking nuke. So, what is going on?

What's going on is that Iran and Israel's governments are in a mutually beneficial arrangement to continue the illusion of a feud, while their actions only reinforce each others' control over their people. The REAL Forever War is that Netanyahu and Likud, and Khamenei and the "Mad Mullahs," rely on each other to prop up their unpopular regimes. They kill peasants or assassinate each others' political rivals, but they never aim for the top. The "terror" that Iran perpetrates never accomplishes anything meaningful, why is that? Israel never just kills Khamenei, why is that?

It is because they need each other. There will be no land war because there cannot be a land war because that would break kayfabe. This will continue indefinitely. The USA is a source of wealth to maintain this arrangement because it lets America conduct continual weapons development and testing in the region, and also profit from the chaos in numerous other ways. Trump will go along with it because when there is no war, he looks like a genius who blew up fake enrichment facilities and avoided WW3.
