every other shooter fucks up and adds a bunch of SMGs/ARs. These weapons aren't fun, but since they are almost always the best option, everyone always uses them. So every other shooter isn't fun.
Half the TF2 cast has a shotgun, and even the syringe gun and flamethrower got unlocks that turn them more shotgun-like (crossbow, dragons fury)
