>Originally intended to be a mutant but made an Inhuman after that whole thing.
>Have a popular first few issues that were collected in a trade and pushed hard in the YA book market.
>Most of the trade sales are weighted towards volume 1 with a huge volume 1 drop off.
>Because of this people keep saying she is wasted potential, a statement that could be used about most characters but ultimately people only ever read her first few issues in trade format.
>Her first series dropped off hard and the rest of her series have regularly been below usual cancellation levels of sales.
>Put her with Inhumans, doesn't do well.. put her with X-Men or Avengers, doesn't do well.. put her with other young heroes, doesn't do well but shippers do cling onto her fucking Cyclops.
>Have her as the new young hero in the Avengers video game, game fails for various reasons.
>Put her in the Marvel Rising cartoon, doesn't do well.
>Make her show and the actress is kind of fun but the plot is dogshit and she is retconned in it, more people watched Willow which was cancelled and scorch earthed from Disney+.
>She was probably the best part of The Marvels but it was bad and one of the largest MCU flops.
>Killed her off in Spider-Man comics.
>Now she is firmly a mutant, NYX doesn't do well.
>Have her appear in a special to have her appear in the X-Men's history (pic related).
I don't think this is anything new because so many Marvel B, C or D listers have had a varied history of being fucked around or killed off, like Iron Fist was killed off in a retarded story by Priest(?) back in the day and in modern times got killed off again. Liking any character that isn't a main one is a rollercoaster of pain. Even Kamala fans need to admit this shit was front loaded and it has been down hill from the start. She should be a younger hero balancing responsibilities but instead she is just another character constantly pushed and pulled in so many directions she loses any and all identity.
