Something strangely absent from this retardo 40k slapfight is the laser weapons and plasma weapons used by standard troops. The massive high caliber kinetic weapons are only used by space marines because they can take the recoil. Space marines are not the majority of troops nor do they represent the average human capabilities service weapons are designed for.

All of the oddball out-of-place weapons are in fact highly unusual and out of place even within the setting, and only make sense in a really specific scenario where two 15-foot power armored titans are duking it out in close quarters. Specific place and time, specific user, specific enemy.
