>watching Star Wars lore videos about old games
>get to The Old Republic explaining the Sith plotline and how choices actually do affect the reaction and some progression
>Dark Sided choices are still just being evil, mocking and killing people
>Light Sided choices actually get really diverse reactions depending on the character, not even being seen as a retard, but most of the time people being weirded and considering it peculiar like asking for someone to do something to save a person and then he complies because he had nothing to lose either way but just not understanding why and even the guy you saved not understanding why you bothered but thanking you.
>Your ship not having people to help battle can cause something like “I don’t need an army, I am enough by myself” with fellow Siths respecting the display of power and the lower ones unable to know what to say since they expected punishment
>encounters you want to save people including Jedi don’t go in the direction of “I don’t wanna fight” but threatening them using the people as hostages like “stand in my way and everyone dies”
>basically he can be “good” but he won’t necessarily be “kind”. The Sith are so self-centric and power obsessed that this is the most good they can realistically be and while regarded with charisma and respect they don’t comprehend why
You know this is actually something I really wanted. I see isekai stories of “oh I will be evil” and the guy fails at it becoming a loved leader, or trying to be good but getting a horrible reputation out there. I see few stories that the MC being the only kind person a backstabbing family met causes the harem to be super possessive. And fine I like all these stories.
But this is something I don’t think I saw. Someone that knows there is a “line” there. You can be good and earn the love of everyone but without disregarding you are still in a place that needs power
