The only Beretta 80 series pistol I ever handled was marked
>9mm short
in Clarksville Indiana of all places and the slide was practically welded shut. At 300 USD I couldn't pass it up. Carrie Anne Moss! If I hadn't see her sweet ass using one I never would've bought the gun.
I had no idea what cartridge it really took. I had to go home and look it up because the guy in the pawn shop didn't know either. The only ammo I could find was over 50 cents a cartridge at Meijer. This was back in 2009. When I finally got the thing out to the range I felt it bucked way more than necessary. Turns out it's a blowback operated pistol and I was shooting hot defensive loads. Really stupid combo for someone new to pistols like me at the time.
Pretty much ended all interest I had in the Beretta 80 series. Later traded it to a guy for a Steam account that Xenonauts on it. Still not sure if the Beretta or Xenonauts was worse.
