It's probably just a joke, but the contortion and appropriation of One Piece as leftist propaganda is very much at odds with reality, at the very least in the case of the SHs. Anyone who thinks that Luffy cares about politics, knowing who he is and what he's about, is an idiot at best and a narcissist at worst. The manga is a deeply nuanced work that is simply redpilled on left-wing concerns (as well as right-wing ones) and brings them to light. And, really, it's an insult to Oda's intelligence to deny him of the nuance he continuously demonstrates in his manga; he's clearly not an ideologue of any kind.
