During the white terror (which is what you are referring to) Taiwanese people were brutalized and terrorized by the KMT/ROC government. Countless people were killed and imprisoned. And…..nothing happened. The majority of people just learned to live under constant daily terror and oppression like they did in the USSR or they do in North Korea.
