His problem is a lack of consistency. The first few days of his presidency were exremely successful, because he obviously came in with a pre prepared plan.
But once those ran out he started adlibbing and letting himself get caught in every two bit scheme to come his way instead of just sitting the fuck down and making another plan. As it is, he's in a downwards spiral because he isn't working on anything in particular and his "allies" keep lighting fires too fast for him to put out.
