Nightreign is actually very good. I was skeptical about it at first, because I'm an exploration kind of guy. But I got it anyway, and I'm enjoying it, even though it's just pure fighting, snatching resources as quickly as you can, and then running to your next fight. Somehow they made that feel very satisfying.

If you're a puzzle kind of guy, give La-Mulana a try. It blends action with solving riddles. So you can run around and kill things while you think of solutions. And it's actually a fairly lengthy game. Don't let the pixel art fool you. It's a meaty game.
