Even if that's true, they're likely going to be the outlier rather than the norm for a long, long time because most businesses prefer cash over credit card regardless of consumer convenience because they're usually forced to take on transaction fees or tack transaction fees onto customer receipts which ends up pissing more people off than otherwise.
Also for what it's worth, things like weed dispensaries will only deal in cash because credit card companies have to operate on a federal level even if it's legal for a given state
