>Marigold’s Kizuna Tanaka (20) has opened up about her determination as a second-generation pro wrestler.

>The daughter of GLEAT’s Minoru Tanaka and former women’s wrestler Yumi Fukawa, Kizuna will face Michiko Omukai’s daughter, Shinno (16), in a singles match in the opening bout of the October 26 Ryogoku Kokugikan event.

>At Shinno’s request, both of their mothers will serve as seconds for the match. Speaking to the press ahead of the showdown, Kizuna said, “Since my debut, I’ve been careful not to be seen as just a second-generation wrestler, and I’ve never brought up my parents unless asked. Before my debut, I even begged, ‘Please let me debut without revealing who my parents are.’ Thinking back now, I realize that was because I didn’t have the confidence to carry their names on my back.”
