>The entire combat is different because of the skin system causing everything to become needlessly tankier since you have to rip the skin before you can do any damage to the Necromorph by shooting the bones.
>Force Gun is now weak as hell because it basically does no damage even if it rips the skin instead of being the best gun in the game and requires you to be point blank firing the cone multiple times to do any damage at all.
>Contact Beam is finally a usable and worthwhile gun since you're not blowing 1000 credits for no justifiable reason when shooting it.
>Flamethrower is now usable.
>Ripper is finally a decent gun for once instead of a waste of space since it actually staggers now.
>The progress of the main story is changed in its entirety and requires you to backtrack to previous areas or get security clearances instead of just visiting the tram at the end of each chapter.
>Tons and tons of security doors that have brand new blueprints.
>The entire Valor segment has been changed to include multiple new rooms and the nuke portion.
>Doors now randomly close on you and stunlock you.
>Aegis VII now has brand new rooms that require you to fly around and solve puzzles to get the Marker moving which feels like it ruins the pacing.
>Enemy spawn points are changed to trip up anyone who has played DS1 a bunch.
>Because of backtracking now you have constantly respawning enemies in certain rooms making the Engineering main hub an annoyance because you're guaranteed to have the 2x babies + multiple Slashers every time you step into that room.
>Red Eye Necromorphs are now the most tedious thing imaginable added to NG+ and are basically like fighting a Brute but they spawn every few rooms forcing you to spend 20+ shots just to kill one.
>Added a new boss battle in the antenna dish boss.
>Removed the asteroid shooting.
>Peng was moved.
>Hangar bay lets you fly

The remake changed a hell of a lot, it's not the same game at all
