Petrolium Jelly or 'Vasline' is only a suitable lubricant if you enjoy sticky, pulling sensations, and it's very difficult to wipe clean. Seriously, it's covered a layer of my bathroom sink, it repells water, I literally cannot wash it off and suspect could block absobtion if it's pushed too deep. Medicated moisturiser was better than this.
