i actually have a story about this. i started my transition at university right before covid but boymoded for the first while naturally, then we had internships so i didn't really see anyone for six months and during this time i changed a lot and went from only occasionally malefailing to getting gendered female basically all the time *until* i opened my mouth. about a month before going back to uni i decided to come out to my classmates and lecturers. bear in mind that the first day back i had to do a presentation in front of everyone where i talked about my internship (in my second language too because i was an international student), so while the other aspects of my appearance were more or less on point i had to voicetrain really fucking fast.
the conclusion was that i did manage to get a passing voice by doing the exercises on trans voice lessons among other things, however i was so nervous during my presentation that it broke a few times and i was pretty distraught over it. honestly nobody really cared though. everyone was either indifferent or was really happy for me, a lot of people came up to me to tell me i looked cute or that they thought it was really brave of me to come out. overall it's a good memory even if things didn't go exactly how i planned them to.
