I thought about it a lot whenever I looked around the content of New Adventure time and Huntress Wizard splitting herself to different versions of herself (one main, different ones entirely).

The Simon and Betty storyline required Shermy to see the story they’ve had.
Which is about two people who were deeply connected together, but ultimately drifted off to their own paths. A theme I didn’t consider as anything until I started seeing similarities between Betty and Finn and how they act to their closest companion.

The scars of Finn’s design were something I disconnected as irrelevant details until the writers made sure these details of his design are nearly always present in every story event before “Come Together”, that the appearance of “Come Together” Finn was making less and less sense. That scar on Main Finn’s face is crucial to differentiate the two, and the big unnatural scar on Old Finn’s left arm might mean something really important soon.
