I'm pretty sure Thrumming Hivepool is just an anchor for people that want to exploit a tribe via Lorwyn's changelings. I guess theoretically it's possible they'll come back either in the distant future or during the "multiplanar event" happening in 2026, but far for likely. Slivers aren't a particularly beloved tribe (most people hate the powerlevel), so they probably don't want to push it outside of commander.
