Remember that person on /fit/ who told people to eat raw onions in order to boost T levels? That was an actual scam by someone because he thought it would be funny seeing people eat raw onions and make up bullshit about how "I'm feeling stronger already!"
Most of the other life tips a lot of Tiktok/X influencers peddle aren't outright malicious like that was, but they're sort of in the same vein in that most of the time they work purely as a placebo. "Scam" is a harsh word but most of the time they're hardly based on any real studies.
