Abos share a lot of dna with jeets and they frequently get hit by cars, I've seen them just randomly stroll out onto a busy road without looking.
In the northern territory all pedestrians hit by cars were abos, though they sleep on the road and huff petrol even the sober ones will get hit randomly so I think genetics has a lot to do with it.
