It is very plausible that they used this little break in LA for a couple's trip. With this, Simply would have gone back to Austin on the first day of Streamer Games, because that was when EE got busy with "work" anyway, so Simply went back to Texas earlier than her to get in some "work", too. He also said he got up at "like 11" (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2542137281?t=0h3m32s), which would be an hour before EE started her stream if he's talking in Austin time
