There's a story i want to share. when i visited Japan, my dumb leftist sister dragged us to a fucking brazilian parade (some kind of "carnival" thing). and i didnt like it. i was like, we're in Japan, we should be checking out Japanese things, not watching a bunch of spic immigrants dancing in the street. we have enough of that at home. anyway, while we were in this brazilian neighborhood in tokyo, i took a shortcut down a little alleyway and i saw an interesting piece of graffiti on the wall. it showed a crudely drawn japanese person on the ground getting kicked in the head by two brown people. there was some scratchy katakana writing, and when i translated it, the words read "Tokyo is ours." And that's when I realized that ethnonationalism is not just a white people thing. We are all in this together because we're all being attacked in the same way by the same people.
