Im a bit on the fence. We still don't know if the final portions will compete as well as S1s portions, but when it comes to the longer segments so far, they blew majority of S1 off the water besides Diet Syndrome/Ugly Bastard/Demon Sister episode. But I personally think in terms of humor S1 is much better albeit its not like S2 is far off, it just felt a lot more off the cuff and ridiculous. The last time it felt that way in S2 was the president episode, but even then that was partially due to translations being inaccurate and the concept of Panty fucking someone without a license and thus had to be fucking executed would've been a plotline on brand with Season 1. I guess we'll see if the "serious" latter portion ever matches up, but I will say this, nothing will compare to Corset interms of the big bad guy at the end regardless of how Ramiel turns out.

The only thing that kept me enthusiastic was the fact that everyone apparently was coming back to work for it. The fact that their passion for the series never left for 15 years is quite a massive big deal. I felt very sentimental watching the first episode this season knowing how far we came and it more or less kept that similar quality I would've expected from 2011. You should definitely give it a shot. It definitely might be different from S1 in some areas but its in a way where it feels like a marginal improvement. The music/humor though is something I feel like is up for you to decide though.
