PSA: Solar on your house is only worth it if your roof is 5yo or newer, and if you design and build the system yourself. Especially so if you live in a state with an SREC program. The ‘free solar for you home and new roof!’ Shit will put a lean on your house and they will sell your credits, all you’ll get is reduced consumption. Put your modules in a ground mount or on a shed on your property. Don’t put holes and weight on your home’s roof. Any issues with your roof and you’ll have to pay the company to remove the modules. Fuck I hate solar so much. The business aspect of solar is such dogshit and more so for smaller arrays. Do it yourself and save money, then its cool. I do enjoy the sun and the idea of using it for energy, I’m just old and bitter. Wish I could spoiler the irrelevant image.
