A common refrain I hear from detransitioners is that the doctor did not "properly inform them as to what estrogen/testosterone would do". Why is this considered to be a valid argument against transitioning and not the dumbest thing possible to say as we are surrounded by people whose bodies are the result of which sex hormone they had in abundance as an adolescent? You don't need a fucking doctor to lay out something as simple as "you will grow facial hair like your dad has once you go on T".
