"compatibility update"
and aren't familiar with linux or the workaround:
>Go to the game's page from home
>go to properties from the settings tab (gear shaped)
>go to compatibility
>check the box that says "force compatibility"
>Select "Proton Experimental" from the list
>????
>you may now play again.

Teambuilding for bosses and trials in this game is fucking kino, easily the best I've ever seen for gachaslop. Mementos in particular is delightful.
