>EU Court annuls approval for Hungarian nuclear plant built by Rosatom

>The EU Court has ruled that the European Commission failed to verify whether Hungary’s direct contract with Russia’s Rosatom for the construction of two nuclear reactors complied with EU public procurement rules.

>As a result, the court annulled the Commission’s decision authorizing Hungary to provide state aid for the Paks nuclear plant expansion.

>Rosatom has already stated it will continue implementing the Paks-2 project with its Hungarian partners despite the ruling.
