I'm from Denmark, and our government is having the presidency of the EU Council the next 6 months, and they've already revived ChatControl because our justice minister dude has decided that 1984 surveillance is needed, and they're currently prototyping an app that is a "EU Digital ID" that will contain your wallet, passport, face scan and everything, which is then ID'ed to every place you roam online and every game console and every time you check in with a doctor etc.
