Here is a squid with fake reality improvement ability in Red Dwarf. Never heard of it until recently, and hardly watched the show, so no influence from it. Also forgot to mention that I dissected a squid on a field trip years back, ig like 2012 or 2013. I also made a tentacled species as a mini worldbuilding project. This was like a year or so bethe obsession hit me. IDK even know why I did it.
