Eh, post expac. Thats the same writer as DT, and yes it did suck. Though not as bad as DT.
Also Garlemald was half assed, and they really should have been the expansion before EW, but ShB popularity got them a little too trigger happy.
Not that anon, but while EW isn't perfect, I did enjoy its story a whole lot and while I can think of some issues, like Garlemald, they did not significantly harm the story for me in ways DT did. And while Garlemald should have been its own expansion, it did give us some great moments with Zenos. I'm not sure they could have pulled him off as well if he had another expansion to go through prior.
Shadowbringers is story peak anyway, and if Ishikawa was only getting two expansions, then it was probably for the best they rushed Garlemald to let her finish off the big Hydaelyn arc.

If anything, it was a chance to tell a good story about political strife of an extremely diverse nation and how they over come that, despite their differences, and unite as one. But may have been too topical, not that it already wasn't extremely on the nose, something I do actually think Kate and other localization groups had a major hand in.
