The prison guards were unaware his mother had been dead for years. they allowed the phone call and he had an unmonitored, unrecorded 15 minute phone call, which breaks strict regulation towards high-security inmates. After his death the call was traced to his 30 year old girlfriend at the time, Karyna Shuliak. They had been dating for ten years, since when she was 20 and he was 56. Through the years he bought her expensive and luxurious gifts and paid her way through dental school. She also lived with him for years in Florida and Manhattan. The media never talks about her and she's been in hiding since his death. Imagine what she knows. To this day nobody knows what they talked about during their last phone conversation.
