You're supposed to heal the other Wayobs that appeal, but it's so annoying an tedious to do that I would just recommend to use the strongest team you can build and not waste time trying to do it's mechanic.

You need lots of Pyro app, preferably from burning. Use Emilie and Nahida (or any other Dendro you have, but preferably those) and proc burn until it's knocked down, then use an actually good reaction (most likely Vape) to kill it. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
