In my experience, the job market is totally irrational, and the only hope for getting a real job is relying on luck of the draw to find a team that is allowed to interview their own prospects AND isn't filled with psychopaths. Or at least is filled with the same sort of psychopath you are so they like you.

Getting an interview is 99% of the battle, and if you be yourself, either they'll just be like "Finally, someone who's only a little retarded." or HR will reject you because you'll fail a vibe check they made up after the fact. Of course, it depends on the job and whether you're really qualified, but even then, job listings never properly express what's required anyway. It's a hopeless endeavour to even express what you need most of the time, you think any job listing will be reasonable and measured even barely accurate?

Basically, it's essentially random. Or at least requires so much intel that no internet lad can help you.

Even if you want to shit on me for having had a weird life and not-useful experience to relay, that itself should go to show how irrational things are. All you can hope for is that the god of failure either loves or hates you.
