I sincerely hope that the canon ending of New Vegas is the House ending.
Sure he is a dictator, but remember, NCR is basically on the verge of collapse, Legion is a raider gang in Roman costumes, and we often forget that securitrons like Yes Man are weak to pulse grenades so there needs to be a human at the helm of New Vegas.

Basically: kick the NCR and Legion out of the Mohave that they had no business being at in the first place.
