It's not all pinned figures, mostly only female MLs with pins that tend to have the issue. Maybe some male figures. It's probably due to the smaller size of the knee joint.

Actually your own image is an indictment. The leg we see on our right (her left) is too off center to really judge properly so I'd ignore that one, but the one on our left (her right) is mostly on center, and is visibly leaning out a bit. Good condition for 6-7 years all things withstanding and better than typical ebay figures, but it's definitely not straight.
