Just finished. 90s jap stuff just clicks with me. The way it's filmed, the boxy cars, the anxiety underneath it all. This one starts a very cute girl I would assume was an idol, and has a wacky brain transplant plot that collapses into nonsense in a disappointing way. One really cool surgical scene halfway in but overall a mess. Based on a Kazuo Umezu comic, which line Junji ito's stuff, just never translates right into movies.
