I tried to make it short so it's... well, short. I know it lacks in detail. That's because it's rather unimportant for the story as a whole so I'm not being at all thorough with it. I want to avoid the situation that all to many fics have where it takes way too long to get any plot going and the author's focused on florid descriptions instead early. I'm currently reading Foe: chrysalis and it's a good example of this: by chapter 3, I still have no idea why I should keep reading since there's nothing to look forward to. There's no plot hooks as of yet.
