>After that, mao and I head to the living room to cook lunch together.

>Once we’re done, I lend mao one of my consoles to play.

>I start going through reports while mao quietly observes me.
>mao doesn’t understand much, but she still watches everything I do.
>I explain my work to mao and share a few random job stories.
>Spending time with mao like this makes my night feel soft and warm.
>Once I finish, I shut down everything and head to bed with mao.
>I let mao pick a video for us to watch before sleeping.
>mao and I hold hands while watching something calm, and she slowly dozes off.
>I see mao’s already asleep, so I pull mao closer into my arms.
>I set a timer, leave the phone on the nightstand, and curl up with mao to sleep.
