Hillary was actually selling a mixed-location supply of uranium to Russia. Some of the uranium was in the US, yes, but a substantial amount of that uranium sold to Rosatom was actually mined in Russia and other former Soviet states as well. By the time Trump finished his first term, all of the uranium mines in the US that Hillary sold were already returned to us! It was only 20% of US uranium reserves, which is significant but not that crazy. Russia never really had any non-commercial intentions; they had sought to improve relations with the US, had recently been helping us in the war in Afghanistan by operating and securing US supply lines, and . Likewise, she was serving under a President who had repeated promised on the campaign trail to improve US-Russia relations. She accepted a bribe, but even without the bribe, there were plenty of decent reasons to approve it. If anything, the real scandal is literally just the bribe here.

Obama, on the other hand, sold ~100% of our rare earths to China. In order to prevent future mining of rare earths, Chinese corporations destroyed most US rare earth mines and almost all of those mines are still out of service today. China had been doing NOTHING to improve relations with us or help us. Obama just did it for a bribe.
