the point is largely because its copy pasted anime dialogue. the author used it probably without thinking much of it, cuz many are just so used to reading that level of writing. That contrived stuff is everywhere in shounin manga, and like most other things in that "genre" nobody ever addresses why its bad. so they just inject it in there
