Exactly, if I'm not allowed to have full reigns over a woman and basically make her my property which if I tried the state backed by extreme use of violence will come against me than what is the point? I should be able to hit my wife if she gets smart with me to get her back in line, a state that doesn't allow this is far from entitled from having healthy birthrates.
Women shouldn't be free, at the very least the model of the father deciding who his daughters marry was pretty stable and reasonable. I don't think the issue will solve itself unless we either get artificial wombs with androids or return to such tradition after a collapse.
