Oh...wait a second - Nintendo screwed Rare so those games NEVER happened!

After Donkey Kong Country released, Nintendo knew their goose was cooked. It started a string of absolute classics by Rare, completely mogging anything Nintendo was putting out at the time. To combat this, heading into the gamecube, Nitendo held a TOP SECRET meeting to kneecap Rare and put Nintendo back on top. Miyamoto, Iwata-san, Yamauchi were all present and the decision was made to turn the very promising Dinosaur Planet into a shitty Star Fox game and the rest is herstory.

Carries Nintendo through the 5th and 6th generations. Not even so much as a, "thank you" or a, "well-done, chaps!" from Nintendo. What gives?
