What context? Being abused as a child does not grant you carte blanche to just eradicate those you don't like. He wasn't kicked, bullied or spat on any more than any other adept, he was given great powers and he uses them to further destruction and kill people. The cycle of abuse requires individuals to perpetuate it, regardless if they intend to or not. Sure, that may be sympathetic or even understandable, but if that person is either unable or unwilling to take responsibility for their own actions or realize that their abuse is also unacceptable, regardless of how damaged they are, that is not someone who is deserving of sympathy.
